Winter work

I made a start on the winter wood work today at the Three Owls Wood. It's not possible to see whats going on in the growing season but on a frosty morning all is laid bare so i can see where the trees are too cowded, or where a more precious tree is overshadowed. A good example are the lovely Yew trees, initially they needed the shelter of the wood, but now they are growing strongly more light is needed. During the morning i saw Buzzards, a Sparrow Hawk, Kestrels and this splendid Barn Owl. HURRAH
